Cyber Candy
Has and I had to get the bus into work this morning as my poor car (Bebe) is visiting the garage. The stop for our bus is the other side of the town from my office so I rarely venture that way. It was a blessing in disguise, we stepping off the bus to see a shop we had never seen before, in Birmingham at least.
Cyber Candy
If you've never visited or even heard about Cyber Candy, it's a shop that sells sweets, chocolates, drinks, biscuits and loads more from around the World. In particular (for us!) American candy!
Hershey's Kisses, Milk Duds (my favourites!), Lucky Charms, Mountain Dew, Twinkies, Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers to name but a few of the things we over dose on when we're in the USA.
Hayley's sister Kirsty bought us back some Hershey's Kisses on her recent trip to New York and now if we think we need any more, we have a store right on our door step! Depending on the cost it would be nice to be able to have a few more American treats on our candy table.
I was also thinking I could pick up a few treats for our ushers. I think they will go really well with the American lager/beer idea.
I also happen to know that one of my bridesmaids has a bit of a thing for Fruit Loops....

Hugs 'n Kisses!
Hayley's sister Kirsty went on holiday to New York last week and was sent away with the job of picking us up a few packets of silver and purple Hershey's Hugs and Kisses. Like a star she didn't let us down!
Thanks Kirsty! The problem now is hiding them away safe so they're not gobbled up before November!

Candy Table Vases
These are the type of vases I want for our candy table.
from here
Especially the glass jars. I love them! I know Confetti have similar glass sweet jars available for £14.99, I'll probably pick up a couple of those soon. I also can't help but think how cute they'd look in our home after the wedding too!
We already have large Martini vases for our centre pieces so I think a couple of smaller ones on the candy table would go really well. I picked up our Martini vases from Excelsior Wholesale, my Sister-in-law to be, Amanda and I spent hours searching the internet for reasonably priced Martini vases and came across this company who happen to be about a 15 minute drive from us! I ordered everything online and went to pick it up. They were so helpful and had everything ready for me to pick up when I go there.
We have to go back to pick up 2 more Martini vases and a couple rolls of organza so I will probably take a look at their selection of vases to see if I can find anything else for our sweets to sit in!

Purple Dessert Table
Have you seen this purple dessert table from Shauna Young Dessert Tables?
Amazing purpley goodness!
These flower flags are too precious!
Photos via Eat, Drink, PrettySo, so pretty! If my dessert table looks half as good as this I'll be a happy, happy girl!

Purple Pot
I picked this up from Homebase the other week when I was in search of silver decorations for our Christmas table
I'm thinking of filling it with sweets and putting it on the candy table. It will be nice because I can use it in our house after the wedding too.

Amy Atlas
Amy Atlas creates the most amazing dessert buffet tables! The tables are so fun, and nothing is over looked. I read the blog religiously hoping to gain some inspiration for my own wedding buffet table.
So elegant! I adore the labels and the ice cream bowl jar!
Such a fun table, the rockets look amazing!
I love the autumn colours and details, check out the acorns on the cake!
Fab bright and cheerful colours on this Moroccan theme table
Such a clean and crisp and delicious table!
From the very start I wanted to feature popcorn on our table, this arrangement definitely gives me something to think about!

Cupcake Flags
I'm thinking about having mini cupcakes on our candy table. The first lady we spoke to about cupcakes makes to most adorable mini cakes. If we do go ahead with this idea I really want to add cupcake flags like these.
I think they look super cute, especially when they have things written on them like "Eat me", "Yummy" and "Be Mine"
They'd be really easy to make and would take very little time but they would look so good!

Hugs, Kisses and Milk Duds
A girl at work has just come back from a trip to New York and as is customary in our office she brought back some treats for us all to enjoy.
Even though I should be dieting I couldn't help going to see what she had brought back.
Miniature Hershey Chocolates!!
Seriously, how amazingly cute and perfect are these! There was (yes I ate them!) about 6 or 7 Milk Duds in this box and would be ideal for our candy table.
I love these too, from The Knot. Personalised Hershey's Hugs & Kisses!

But I don't live in America and they don't ship internationally... plus I'm not sure they would travel so well! $19.99 for a box of melted mush!?
There's only one thing for it, I'm just going to have to go to New York myself and source my American chocolates! ;)

Sweets for my sweet!
We are supplying, as most couples do, an evening buffet. As this only includes savoury foods we thought we’d like to treat our guests to a little something sweet! We’ve decided to add a candy table!
We want to include some American favourites such as Hershey’s Kisses and Milk Duds as well as purple chocolates like miniature Dairy Milks. The plan is to display them in large and varied shaped bowls, dishes and vases. These are some of my favourite candy tables.

I wanted a quirky way for people to hold their treats, I’ve seen allsorts of bags and boxes and didn’t really like any of them, I told Suzie this and she said “What about Starbucks cups?” me: “What a bloody brilliant idea!!” We searched online for anywhere we could get our hands on 200 Starbucks cups, of course this was impossible! So I gave up hope, until… i was copied into this email
“Hello Starbucks!
I am writing to you with a plea!
Next year my best friend is getting married, I have the privilege of being her bridesmaid and am helping her in what way i can to make her day the most perfect it can be.
I’m sure you’re very busy but think a little background info may help with my plea so please bear with me.
Laura (my best friend) met her now fiancĂ© Hassan in Starbucks in Solihull town centre, it’s there that they became friends and also there that on the 8th November 2001 Hassan asked Laura out. Eight years passed and on 24th September 2009 Hassan asked Laura to be his wife. They are having a New York themed wedding on the 5th November 2010, tying in all there favourite things. I would like to help Laura tie Starbucks in to her day by using small Starbucks branded cups to go on the Candy Buffet table for the guests to put their sweets in.
As you will know these are near on impossible to buy online, so here comes my plea (thanks for your patience so far, i’m almost finished - i promise) I was wandering if it would be possible to send me some cups? I think there will be near enough 200 guests so as many cups as you could spare near to that number would be great.
I understand that its a lot to ask by as the saying goes:
Love conquers all things; let us too surrender to Love - Virgil, Eclogues
Please help, very much looking forward to your response
Many thanks
Suzie”
I tried not to get my hopes up as Starbucks could very well turn around and say no, but honestly I knew I would be so upset if I couldn’t have Starbucks cups on my candy table.
Fast forward about 2 weeks to today and I get a call from Suzie, the very generous people at Starbucks are sending us 200 3 oz cups for our guests to put their sweets in!!
I’m so excited and so thankful that I have a wonderful, wonderful bridesmaid! Thank you Suzie, I love you loads!!
P.S I had a Starbucks at lunch to say thank you!! x
