Amy Atlas

Amy Atlas creates the most amazing dessert buffet tables!  The tables are so fun, and nothing is over looked.  I read the blog religiously hoping to gain some inspiration for my own wedding buffet table.

So elegant!  I adore the labels and the ice cream bowl jar!

Such a fun table, the rockets look amazing!

I love the autumn colours and details, check out the acorns on the cake!

Fab bright and cheerful colours on this Moroccan theme table

Such a clean and crisp and delicious table!
From the very start I wanted to feature popcorn on our table, this arrangement definitely gives me something to think about!

Things I love

If I'm honest I don't really understand Twitter, I'm an occasional tweeter and only really tweet when my friend Steven nags me to!  If you're really interested you can find me under Looplah!

As far as I can understand people put "tags" in their tweets to "group" them together so someone searching a topic has access to hundreds and thousands of tweets all relating to that subject.  If I have that wrong I apologise... I'm sure Steven will let me know!

One of the topics I keep seeing today is Things I Love.
So here are my things I love.
  • Has
  • My brilliant fantastic family
  • My amazing supportive friends!
  • Clowning around with my little brother Paul
  • New York
  • Christmas!
  • Cups of Yorkshire tea
  • Making craft projects
  • Playing the sims!
  • Spaghetti bolognaise made by Has' mom
  • Writing this blog
  • Planning our wedding
  • Snuggling
  • Being inside in bed when it's really rainy and windy outside
  • Macaroni cheese from Virgils in New York
  • Hot water bottles
  • Festivals!
What things do you love?

New York Wedding

How amazing does this wedding look!?

German Market Madness

Last night I met up with good friends I used to work with.  We all have the same ridiculously silly sense of humour, and generally crack up over the stupidest things!  Needless to say days at work were a lot brighter when I worked with them!

We met up at Starbucks where Heather was treated to her first ever Starbucks!  First Ever!

First stop was the carousel at the German Market...

German beers...

and by lots of messing around and Christmas merriment!

Next we decided to test the Old Joint Stock Pub's claim of their pies being legendary...
Steven and Jamie take their pie decision very seriously, I believe they both picked a steak and ale pie

We all came to the decision that yes these pies were indeed legendary!  If you're ever in Birmingham and fancy a nibble...  I can recommend the vegetarian shepherds pie!

Cupcake Flags

I'm thinking about having mini cupcakes on our candy table.  The first lady we spoke to about cupcakes makes to most adorable mini cakes.  If we do go ahead with this idea I really want to add cupcake flags like these.

1,2,3,4

I think they look super cute, especially when they have things written on them like "Eat me", "Yummy" and "Be Mine"

They'd be really easy to make and would take very little time but they would look so good!

Happy December!

Yippee!  The first of December is here which means I can finally start to get excited about Christmas without people saying "It's too early!"

We put our office Christmas tree up yesterday and will putting my one up at some point this week.
My Christmas Shopping List is looking a lot better now I've been paid.  I managed to get most of it sorted yesterday - I love internet shopping!  It means I can enjoy the Christmas buzz of town without feeling the stress of having to get somewhere in my hour lunch break!

I am lucky enough to work in Birmingham city centre which means I get to visit the Frankfurt German Market whenever I want!  I love it, I hardly ever buy any thing from there (it's a little over priced) but the atmosphere is so wonderful and it feels so Christmassy!
