Head Treats
I treated myself today with cute hair accessories from ASOS. I bought mine to pretty up my head for the festivals I'll be going to in a few weeks, but they could also be used by brides or bridesmaids on a budget.

Pearl and Willow
One of the things I love most about Twitter is all the new friends you make. Due to the powers of Twitter I found Pearl and Willow and the very lovely Beth. A gorgeous collection of hair accessories, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and brooches by fabulous designers such as Chez Bec, Filippa Scott, Polly Edwards and Jo Barnes.
I've been searching for something to wear in my hair for a while, and Pearl and Willow's selection didn't let me down. Problem is I have too many favourites!

Headbands
Ever since I started trying on wedding dresses and I was forced to try on tiaras and veils with the dress to "complete the look" I realised I didn't want one.
I'm 99.9% sure I won't be wearing either a veil or tiara on my wedding day.
It's just not me.
As stupid as it sounds, wearing a veil and tiara conjures up images in my head of me as a little girl playing dress up.
Therefore, I want a headband that makes a statement. I love the headbands which have the detailing on the side. Flo and Percy have gorgeous accessories. Suzie wore their Clarice headband from the Gatsby collection during the evening at her wedding, which is absolutely gorgeous!
I really like their Chesire headband from their Wonderland collection
I'm having a real struggle at the moment finding something I'm in love with. Don't get me wrong there are loads of gorgeous headbands out there, I just have trouble picturing them being worn. A lot of websites provide photos of the headband, but I think it really helps to have one of a model wearing it.
They have quite a few cute ones on Etsy.

I like the pearls in this Heirloom side tiara headband from Glitzy Secrets
I found the Jennifer Behr website a while ago.. she tempts me with her stunning headbands. Especially Dahlia
Want to know a secret...? I haven't actually tried on a side headband! Yes, I could be fantasising on something that will look completely pants on. Only one thing for it, mass headband trying on session is in order!

Monday Morning Shopping
Morning!
It's not even 11am and I've been busy! Me and my friend eBay have been getting on very well this morning... Mr Bank Account shouldn't be too angry with me....
I found a lilac shrug for £10 with free postage. It's from the same seller who Suzie bought our bridesmaids' shrugs from. They are really soft and I thought it would be nice to try it on with my dress. If I don't like it or it doesn't look right I can always buy an extra 2 for the bridesmaids to wear.

I also bought a round circle punch for doing our invitations. I've seen them in the shops for over £10 the one I bought from eBay cost me £5 and does exactly the same job!
I'm hoping the punch will arrive soon so I can arrange a night with the girlies to get punching, sticking, cutting and threading!
Next on the shopping list is card, purple card. eBay can you help me?!

Possible Purple Cardis!
After yesterday's post I spent most of the afternoon searching for purple's cardigans to go with my dress.
I think it will look better to wear a cropped cardigan with long sleeves. I really like the colour of the south cropped cardigan, but the sleeves are a little too short.
I think my favourite so far is the batwing knit shrug. Just another thing I have to be on the look out for...!

Pretty wraps and cardigans
I've been playing with the idea of getting a cute cardigan to wear for a few outside photographs. It's going to be quite chilly outside and although my dress comes with a jacket it only has short sleeves.
I think for a few outside shots a cute cardi or wrap would look lovely. Plus it's so me! I'm a real comfy cosy kind of girl so to see me in a snuggly wrap wouldn't look out of place!
These neutral coloured wraps are so sweet!
If I was feeling a little more adventurous I could always go for a colourful cardi!

The Tale of the Purple Kitten Heel Shoes
Last week I won a pair of Coast purple kitten heel shoes. Suzie saw them on eBay and sent me the link. I won them for the bargain price of £13. Their retail value is over £60.
This is the story of the purple kitten heel shoes.
It started with a box...
and a promise...
and then, there they were.
The End.
I'm not 100% sure I'll use them for the wedding. I don't think they are perfect, they rub my toes a little but for £13 I can't grumble, I've got myself a stunning pair of purple kitten heel shoes!
P.S is it me or is one of the flowers miles bigger than the other?!

A Happy Alternative?
Maybe I could add some purple details to the wedding shoes I already have
And stop drooling over £500 shoes I have no hope of owning! I've seen these shoe clips by Yarwood-White
Although I could afford a new pair of shoes for the price of those clips! Hopefully I'll be able to find a cheaper purple embellishment. That is of course, if I don't find my dream shoes

WANTED: Purple Shoes
This is your mission should you choose to accept it...
Help find me a pair of fabulous purple heels! Please!
I still haven't been able to find any shoes I like. I didn't realise it would be so hard.

Funky Flats
There is no way on Earth I am going to be able to stay in heels all day no matter how fabulous the shoes are.
Once I get on the dance floor I don't intend to leave, which means I'm going to need some ballet flats. I rarely wear heels unless I'm going out somewhere fancy, the majority of my life is spent in flats I even wear them to work.
If I do wear heels I usually last about an hour before having to kick them off or sit down.
So for the evening part of our wedding I need to find some funky flats to wear.
So far that's 3 pairs of shoes I'll be needing for this wedding... wellies, heels and flats. Is that too much?

As If By Magic...!
After posting about shoes yesterday a topic close to Hayley's heart, she set about trying to find purple heels.
Well as if by magic Hayley pops up on chat this afternoon with a link to bespokebigday.co.uk. A site where you can choose your style, shape, colour and even heel size (and whether you want them glittery!) The prices aren't too bad either!
I'm now seriously considering getting Mae in a lilac!

My Bridesmaids Need Amazing Shoes
I keep seeing photos of amazing shoes.
And the shoes from the wedding I posted about yesterday.
They all look so amazing! I really need to figure out in my head what I want my bridesmaids to look like.
The more I think about it the more I think I want to steer away from traditional dresses and the uniformed look. My bridesmaids are all very different people with different styles.
I think different funky shoes could definitely allow for some personality to shine through.
What to do!!

I Have Wellies!
Fabulous purple wellies from Sainsburys!
I got Mom to take some photos of them for me last night, Meg was like one of those old tourists you see who are completely oblivious to the fact that they are walking straight in front of someone waiting for their picture to be taken. It made me laugh so much I've kept her picture in.

Fancy Footwear
Even though I have already brought my wedding shoes (bargain from Debenhams) and I do love them, I still can't get over my obsession and love for funky shoes. In fact I've seen a pair of Manolo Blahnik's that have me drooling.
Unfortunately the wedding budget wont stretch for my footwear fetish, hey I can dream though!
These are my shoes, they were a bargain at £22
I've seen these as well from Christian Louboutin... lush!
and these by Vivienne Westwood

... maybe I should treat myself?!

Posing in the Puddles
Getting married in November means our chance of a shower or two are quite high! Instead of panicking about something I can’t control I’m going to roll with it.
Some of the best photo’s I’ve seen are when it rains on a wedding day. They are full of drama and romance.

I plan on buying a pair of funky purple wellies to put on for some photos outside, and maybe a cute umbrella to match! Something like this

Nailcote Hall has fabulous gardens and I intend to make the most of them! So unless we have hurricane force winds with torrential rain I shall be out there posing in the puddles!
